UPCOMING LITTER PREVENTION AND RECYCLING ACTIVITIES. Tri County Illegal Dump Photos below. Illegal Dump Cleanup Events- The Counties of Buchanan, Dickenson and Russell Counties have completed this years Tri County Illegal Dump Cleanups. These events removed 108 tons of improperly disposed materials from our regions hillsides and roadsides. For More information please contact your local litter control office. 2006 Regional Recycling Report- The Cumberland Plateau Regional Waste Management Authority has submitted the 2006 Regional Recycling Rate Report. Our region has a 31.1% recycling rate. To learn more about the VA DEQ Recycling Data Report please visit http://www.deq.state.va.us/recycle/ Upper Tennessee River Roundtable's Litter and Recycling Committee-The UTRR's Litter and Recycling committee will be conducting a Keep America Beautiful affiliation meeting on April 21st at 11:00 a.m. at the Wise County Fairgrounds in Wise, VA. Following this event, the offical name will become Keep Southwest Virginia Beautiful. For more information please contact the UTRR at 276-628-1600.
